I know many of y’all have been on vacation for Spring Break the past couple of weeks. But I think there’s nothing like getting away to help you remember home. Memphis is my home, which is why I think it is so important for Memphians to talk positively about our city—wherever you are.

Maybe you had a staycation this year. And if that’s the case, I hope you got outside and explored our city. Memphis has so many incredible assets all in one place. Other cities dream of having what we have. From the river to our restaurants, our sports to our arts, museums to parks, Memphis is a special city.

Chez Philippe at The Peabody Receives the Esteemed AAA Five Diamond Designation

Chez Philippe has received the coveted AAA Five Diamond designation for the first time since opening its doors in 1982. Having been a recipient of the AAA Four Diamond recognition since 1989, being elevated to the pinnacle of Five Diamond status is a prestigious honor and makes Chez Philippe the only Five Diamond restaurant in Tennessee, Mississippi, or Arkansas. Federal Grant Advances Clayborn Temple Restoration

$3.1M was granted to Clayborn Temple to support restoration efforts. Not only is it an important part of Memphis history, but it also plays a crucial role in our nation’s history. Clayborn Temple is a nationally recognized historic site and is considered a National Treasure by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Read more about the grant here.
