Memphis Music Hall of Fame House Band Goes International

Memphis Music Hall of Fame House Band headlined this year’s Porretta Soul Festival in Porretta, Italy. The week prior to that, they played at a festival in Spain. The Porretta Soul Festival is the most important European event dedicated to Soul and Rhythm & Blues music. In the festival’s over thirty-year history, some of the biggest names in Soul have passed by Porretta. Learn more here.

Memphis has the Best

Last week I talked about several Memphis area companies that were nominated for “Coolest Things in Tennessee” by the Tennessee Manufacturers Association. A few weeks prior, I shared the news that The Peabody Hotel was nominated for USA Today’s 10Best in two categories. This just goes to show that Memphis has so much to celebrate and deserves more recognition. Let’s all make sure to support our fellow Memphians and vote.
