St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Connects Students to Data Science Careers

As our city continues to be a hub for technology and innovation, we must create a talent pipeline suited for our key industries. That’s exactly what St. Jude’s STEMM Education and Outreach is doing through their partnership with MSCS and Scores Foundation. Through courses, curriculum, and hands-on experience, they’re giving students the necessary access and foundation needed for data science careers. Learn more here.

Memphian Hits a 7-game Win Streak on Jeopardy!

Memphian, Adam Remsen, debuted on the hit show, Jeopardy! on June 15 and has since won 7 games. Those wins qualified him for Jeopardy’s Tournament of Champions. Remsen spent years trying to get on the show after turning it down in 2003. Let’s continue to cheer on Adam and read his story here.

Memphis Art Museum Announces Free Admission to New Museum for Locals

I’m sure many of you have heard, but this is BIG news. The Memphis Art Museum announced that, thanks to an anonymous donor, admission for all Shelby County residents will be free. Art is such an important part of Memphis culture. The art museum is set to open in December. Read about the museum here and here.
