
I want to start off the week by sending congratulations out to all the graduates! I know several of our local high schools, as well as our universities, held ceremonies this past weekend.
These students are our future. We need to retain these bright individuals FOR MEMPHIS and share their gifts with the city.
If you know a student graduating this season, share the good news about Memphis. Let them know why Memphis is a great place to spend your postgrad life—why it’s a great place to live, work, and play.

Recent Grads Choose Memphis
On the topic of recent grads, a couple—neither from Memphis—came to the city for college, and they’re now choosing to stay in Memphis. Katie Avila Bettencourt and Pablo Avila were warned by numerous people and told not to come to Memphis. But their experience was the opposite of what they heard and has caused them to choose to build a postgrad life in Memphis. Read more here.
